Reflections of Unmerited Favor.
“God’s grace is something that we received, knowing that we didn’t deserve it, and that same Grace, God expects us to extend it in our everyday lives, realizing that just the same way, we make mistakes, other people make mistakes too.
When we think of the word boldness or being bold, many times, we think it requires a certain type of attitude, a certain tone of voice or actions that ensure that we are not overlooked. Sometimes we look at somebody, we’re like, wow, that person was bold for doing that, or for saying that. And God wants us to be bold, women of God, that we can stand up. But there’s a difference. True Kingdom Boldness is done with conviction and with the right intention.
Unfortunately, sometimes we lead, we speak and even set boundaries from a place of unresolved hurt. And when this happens, that boldness then becomes more of an attack towards others, and we may not even realize it, and we can’t deny that we get hurt and things happen and things bother us and make us feel a certain type of way, but that’s when we tell God, and we pray, and we go to the feet of Jesus and allow him to remove any bitterness and refine our boldness, where we can forgive the people who have hurt us and focus on the greater purpose that He has for our life.
There are times where we must speak up, but again, with conviction, God has never needed perfect people to do what he has to do here on Earth, but willing people so allow him to define your significance, because beautiful boldness in God is always what we need. And the next step towards saying, Yes, God, here I am. Use me.”
Key Takeaways
- Reciprocal Forgiveness
- A Preventative Pardon
- Universal Human Need
Grace is a precious gift received with the full knowledge that it was not earned or deserved. It serves as the cornerstone of our faith, reminding us that we are all human and in constant need of a little bit of grace in our lives. When we recognize that our own slate has been washed clean—past, present, and future—it changes how we view the flaws in those around us.
God expects the grace we receive to be actively extended in our everyday lives. It is a gift meant to be shared with everyone, no matter what they have done to us. Whenever forgiveness feels difficult, we are encouraged to remember the magnitude of the grace God showed us first; if He can forgive our entire journey, we are empowered to do the same for someone else..
